While driving her husband to a "house call" Dr. & Mrs. Ruddell were in a car accident. Margaret lost her left fore arm. Subsequently she continued her art work.
Margaret exercised her technique in oils, she painted scores of landscapes and "still lives." She was also a skilled portraitist.
Margaret used an eclectic palette, her paintings are characteristically serene. Her choice of subject is derivitive from common and foreign sources, revealing a very strong and progressive, interpretive artist.
